With nearly 30 years in the financial services industry, George co-founded Longleaf Capital Group as a new independent wealth management firm in 2025.  Most recently, a Senior Vice President and Wealth Advisor at Morgan Stanley, his goal is to provide clients the advantages that an independent wealth management firm can deliver.  He has a passion for creating financial strategies by working directly with his clients as well as other advisors, including attorneys and accountants, to achieve their long-term goals.  In 2025, George was named to the Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Advisors for Alabama.

Born and raised in Dothan, AL, George attended the University of Alabama, where in 1996 he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.  He began his career with Ernst and Young in Atlanta before transitioning into the wealth management industry in 2005 with Merrill Lynch.  He has earned the designation of Certified Public Accountant and Certified Financial Planner, both of which help him provide a holistic approach to client financial planning needs.  

George and his wife, Betsy, have been married for 23 years and have four children as well as a Goldendoodle named Sophie.  George has spent many years volunteering his time by coaching youth sports, primarily basketball and baseball, for his children and their peers.  He relishes spending time with his family, enjoys reading and traveling, and values his faith.
