Prior to joining Longleaf Capital Group in August 2025, Jan worked at Merrill Lynch for 46 years.  Her experience in the financial services industry includes compliance supervision, human resources management, training and coaching new hires for client services, and the role of management support to the local director.  

She has spent the last 11 years working as a Wealth Management Client Associate for The Thornell Group, building client relationships and servicing wealth management clients. 

Jan and her husband Phil have been married for 42 years and have one adult son, daughter-in-law, and two granddaughters.  She enjoys mental therapy in her flower beds, weekends at the lake, and spending quality time with her family.
