Michelle has multifaceted duties comprised of managing and coordinating the overall day-to-day operations of the group, including regulatory compliance and implementing business management systems to increase client service quality.
Michelle has been in the financial services industry for 25 years and is fully registered with Series 7 and Series 66 licenses. Prior to joining Longleaf Capital Group, Michelle held similar positions with Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch. She leverages her extensive knowledge to partner with and guide teammates as well as deliver the highest level of service to our clients. Michelle is committed to building relationships and personalized service to each client’s unique financial goals. Her key responsibilities are client relationship management, administrative support, account management, business development and operational support.
Prior to working in the financial industry, Michelle was a paralegal for a national law firm. She and her husband, Chris, have been married for 34 years and have two grown children. Outside the office, Michelle enjoys spending time with family, attending church and reading.
Licenses
Series 7 – The Series 7 is an exam and license that entitles the holder to sell all types of securities products except commodities and futures. The Series 7 exam covers topics on investment risk, taxation, equity and debt instruments, packaged securities, options and retirement plans.
Series 66 – The Series 66 is an exam and license also known as the Uniform Combined State Law Examination that allows individuals to work as both a securities agent (representative) and an investment adviser representative (IAR).
Securities Industry Essentials® (SIE®) – The SIE® is an exam and license that demonstrates fundamental knowledge of the securities industry. The SIE® exam covers topics on industry terminology, securities, products, the structure and function of the markets, regulatory agencies and their functions, and regulated and prohibited practices.
